This was the sunset view at Onondaga Lake Park tonight. I was on my way home and pulled into the parking lot on a whim. I was almost too late! I grabbed my little point and shoot (WHY do I never have my dSLR with me when these things happen?!) and ran over to the park just in time to capture this image. I really liked the line of trees silhouetted against the festival of color happening in the background.
Image information: Canon G1X, manual mode, ISO 100, f/4.5, 1/60 sec, 28.3 mm, evaluative metering, hand-held.

What a catch! I, too, like the silhouettes against the background, and I really like your use of the word “festival” in this post!
