We were at Niagara Falls (Canadian side) this past weekend and while I was taking pictures of the Canadian Falls I happened to look down. There was this broken sign that was laying there on the ground that said “Journey Behind the F” with the rest of the sign broken off. You have to look close to see the sign – it was pretty far down and I had to lean a bit over the rail just to figure out what it said… I just found it a funny (ironic?) juxtaposition of words, location, and advertising laying broken and abandoned at the bottom of the falls. Plus you can just see the hint of the rainbow that was disappearing as I was taking the photo. If I hadn’t been quite so fascinated with the lighting and the sign I might have been quicker to take the picture. This photo was taken with my new Canon G1X point and shoot. It takes great pictures and was easy for me to learn since the menu system is pretty similar to my old Canon G9.
