Winter isn’t gone yet – there’s still plenty of snow on the ground and a few flakes in the air but it’s March 1st and that means Spring is on the way!
I was out walking along the Erie Canal one afternoon and the weather just felt like it was warming up. The sky was blue and the ice was melting on the Canal. I was bundled up but it was warm enough that I could keep my hands warm just by putting them in my jacket pockets. Not having to put gloves on and off and picking them up after dropping them in the snow a few times sure does make taking pictures a lot easier. It was great to get out in the fresh air too. I have been so busy at work that I have had almost no time to get out and just enjoy taking pictures.
Information on the shot: I took this photo at ISO 400, 28 mm, f/11, 1/200 sec.

MG –
You truly captured the moment of a spring arrival. I love the blue sky (rarely seen in Syracuse!) and the breaking ice on the water. I feel like we really are coming into spring seeing this image. Thanks for sharing!
