First off – a quick apology for such a long time between posts. Life has been interesting and exciting and busy the past 10 weeks. A great trip to Ireland, an opportunity to be in the Syracuse downtown arts and crafts show, and finding out that I’ve also been accepted into 3 other local shows this fall. Lots of planning and preparations. In the midst of it all, we are trying to get back on the exercise train. Which brings me to today’s blog post and picture.
Tonight on our walk we passed a small patch of sunflowers that were in full bloom with the sun setting behind them. We stopped long enough to take a few quick pictures but we had to move on. Our exercise program calls for a completing 3 miles and the clock was ticking.. but sometimes you just have to take time to stop and enjoy the flowers.
“If I were a flower, I would be a sunflower. To always follow the sun, turn my back to darkness, stand proud, tall and straight even with my head full of seeds.” by Pam Stewart (http://www.scrapbook.com/quotes/doc/40311.html)
